The Human Race 2020

By The Volunteer Center

June 20, 2020
Location: LeBauer Park, Downtown Greensboro

New Date: June 20th, LeBauer Park.

We do have a virtual Plan B if we are still not able to gather in June

A LETTER FROM THE TVC TEAM:

If you have been to the Human Race, you have felt the support of the community first-hand. You have walked side by side with organizations serving food to those that are hungry, freeing dogs from heavy chains, empowering our next generation, building homes for those without, showing support for those who need it, gathering resources for our veterans, supporting those with disabilities, educating children at every level, offering health and wellness to all, and more.

This Human Race, this 26th year, will feel very different. After the COVID-19 pandemic, we need each other more than ever. We will not take for granted the ability to gather in a park together, the ability to hug one another or shake a stranger’s hand. We will celebrate with our hearts fully invested.

In times like these, our communities rely heavily on non-profit organizations. 73 nonprofit organizations across the Triad are using this 2020 Human Race fundraiser to further their missions, to raise support for their efforts, and to reach more in need. This year, the fundraiser means even more to them, as many have been affected by the ramifications of COVID-19 and its impact on our economy and our vulnerable populations.

We are rescheduling our event and it will take place on JUNE 20th, 2020. Our plan is to have the event at LeBauer Park and our hope is that by June 20th, we will all be able to gather and we will all be excited to get outside and be together.

Of course, we are planning an alternate and virtual way to celebrate if we are NOT able to gather by June 20th. But this event is really all about fundraising, so please continue to help support each participating non-profit by donating to their missions
