Outstanding Volunteers in Guilford County Are Recognized!

Greensboro, NC – The North Carolina Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service has presented the 2022 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award to 12 recipients from Guilford County.

Award recipients are:

  • Jamie Davis with A Simple Gesture

  • Bernie Gold and Charley Mays with The Greensboro Science Center

  • Beth Ann Keeton with the Red Cross

  • Pet Partners with Cone Health Group

  • Gart Evans with United Way of High Point (Medallion Winner)

The Governor’s Volunteer Service Award honors people who have shown concern and compassion for their neighbors by making a significant contribution to their community through volunteer service. The award was created in the Office of the Governor in 1979.
